Much Needed Girls Night

After a long week of worrying about different things and school, my roommates and I decided to have a girls night! We chilled and were lazy pretty much all day and then got ready and drove to West Virginia!

We go to school at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio where there isn't always as many food or activity options as some may want. That led us to going elsewhere for our evening. There isn't much around Athens and the West Virginia border is only 40ish minutes away from us. We headed there and shopped around TJ Maxx first. Julia tried on some cute outfits, Maddie smelled candles, and Meredith I think covered most of the store in the time we were there! I, of course, went directly to the extra, miscellaneous aisles where you can commonly find Kate Spade and Lilly Pulitzer items! I found cups, trays, aprons, and oven mitts. I bought myself the cutest Kate Spade oven mitts and matching towel that are pink with bakery items print that say "Eat Cake for Breakfast". I will keep these for my apartment next year since I don't have kitchen at school now. After TJ Maxx we hopped in the car and headed down the street to dinner!

For dinner we went to a hibachi restaurant *heart eyes emoji*. I have been craving hibachi so when they proposed the idea I was very happy. With the hibachi meal comes the clear salty soup and a small salad. This year I made my resolution to try 21 new things since I was turning 21. I decided this because supposedly every seven years your tastebuds change and 7x3=21 which is the age I am now! Anyways, I have done well to try two new things each month so far. At dinner last night I decided to try the salad! I have taken bites of peoples salads before but never liked the way it felt in my mouth or crunched when I ate it but gave it another shot. I ended up eating my whole salad! I am such a picky eater my roommates joke because people will say 'only bread and milk' for survival food or as a punishment but I would be fine with that! After an insane amount of food my roommates told the waitress we were celebrating my birthday and she brought us fried ice cream with a candle for me to blow out! Once we got back to Athens we got in our sweats and hung out on our back balcony to enjoy the nice weather and have some girl talk. I need more nights like last night in my life! Thank you Julia, Maddie, and Meredith for a fun night, love ya lots!

What are some of your favorite things to do on a night with your friends?

Taylor
