Barrettes: 2019's Latest Hair Trend

Of all the things from our childhoods coming back in style, barrettes were not something I was expecting to see! We've had crop tops, high waist bottoms, scrunchies, even biking shorts are making a return. There are so many trends coming back! Now not just any ole barrettes are back in style so those ones still in the back of your drawer may not be fully it.

There are two aspects in which the barrettes are making a trend. First is is the big barrettes! Big barrettes are a majority of what are currently trending. We first saw this trend make a come back with Ariana Grande. She actually even wore earrings in her hair in her 7 Rings music video but that's showbiz. Hair accessories are in the comeback and big barrettes are all the topic. Many celebrities and influencer's are wearing them. This led to me of course having to purchase a set! I saw a blogger I follow wearing faux pearl big barrettes which I would get more use out of than other barrette styles! I bought a four pack from Amazon Prime and love them! They are so fun and I can't wait to wear them! The four pack only costed $9.99 and was offered with two-day shipping. Here is the link for the set I bought! I was worried that when they got here that they would be cheap barrettes that despite their size wouldn't hold hair back. I tested these barrettes and they seem pretty good considering the price!

The next trend with barrettes is not just the big barrettes but stacking barrettes! This includes big, small, all different ones! It looks a little crazy sometimes but putting multiple barrettes that coordinate stacked in your hair is the trend. I don't think I personally would wear more than two stacked in my hair but many people may enjoy this trend! Here's a few pictures I found on Instagram about this to give you an idea! :)
